Directory

Nexor Directory provides a central source of information for organisations in which sending and receiving messages is critical, the directory is integral to the infrastructure and a directory failure would cause a full system failure. Conforming to LDAP and X.500 directory standards, Nexor Directory provides the high performance needed to maintain service.

Key features:

  • The use of an object-oriented database ensures consistency, scalability and robustness.
  • Support of the Directory Information Shadowing Protocol (DISP) simplifies replication, facilitating scheduled updates and different replication models.
  • There are bulk import/export tools, supporting the LDAP Data Interchange Format (LDIF) and the Comma Separated Value (CSV) format.

Nexor Directory can establish DSP, DISP and DAP connections using strongly authenticated credentials..

more

Directory Administrator

The Nexor Directory Administrator is an administrative directory user agent (ADUA) based on Windows Explorer, which provides a familiar interface that enables connections to both X.500 and LDAP Directories using either DAP (Directory Access Protocol) or LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol). LDAP/X.500 Gateway

Nexor X.500/LDAP Gateway provides interoperation of LDAP and X.500 directories. The lack of standards for server-to-server communication can leave data repositories using the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) isolated, requiring each workstation to be configured to recognise all data sources. Nexor X.500/LDAP Gateway bridges the gap between X.500 directories, LDAP directories and LDAP applications.

Key features:

  • Full interoperability between X.500 and LDAP-based directories
  • Retrieval of certificate and authority revocation lists without client referrals
  • Firewall integration without compromising security
  • Flexible deployment using a separate machine or co-location on an existing machine
  • Every significant operation recorded in an audit log
